I studied Biological Sciences at Merton College, Oxford and Computer Science at Birkbeck College, London, and dabbled both in equity research and in prospect research for major donor fundraising. But my passion is for software engineering and I have spent most of my career as a full-stack software engineer, working in a variety of tech stacks and in various product domains (mostly financial ones). I have gone from writing code all day to writing a little bit of code whilst mainly concentrating on architecture problems and on helping teams to deliver great software - the thrill of seeing something grow from an idea to working software that solves a real-world problem remains the same.
